Overview

Genesis Platform is built on a local-first, privacy-first architecture. Unlike cloud-based subscription tools, your data stays on YOUR machine. We cannot access your data because we never receive it.

This Privacy Policy explains what minimal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Data We Do NOT Collect

• Your business data (conversations, documents, emails, etc.) - stored locally on your machine

• API keys or OAuth tokens - encrypted and stored in your local SecretVault

• Usage analytics or telemetry - Genesis does not phone home

• Tracking cookies or third-party scripts - our website is clean

• Behavioral data or profiling - ARIA learns locally, not in our cloud

2. Data We DO Collect

License Activation: Email, license key, machine ID (for license validation)

Website Analytics: Anonymized traffic data via privacy-focused analytics (no cookies)

Support Requests: Email, name, and message content when you contact us

Payment Information: Handled by Stripe (PCI-compliant). We never see your card details.

3. How We Use Your Data

License verification: To ensure valid license usage and prevent fraud

Support: To respond to your questions and troubleshoot issues

Product improvement: Anonymized usage patterns (e.g., which agents are most popular)

Legal compliance: As required by law (GDPR, data breach notification, etc.)

4. Data Storage & Security

Local Storage: All business data, conversations, and learning stored on YOUR machine in encrypted SQLite databases

Encryption: AES-256 for data at rest, TLS 1.3 for API communications

Access Control: Only you can access your data. We have no backdoors or remote access

Backups: YOU control backups. We recommend regular backups of your local data directory

5. Third-Party Services

Genesis integrates with third-party services (Google, Meta, Shopify, etc.) via OAuth. When you authorize these integrations:

• You grant Genesis permission to call APIs on your behalf

• Your credentials are encrypted and stored locally

• Genesis follows the privacy policies of those services

• You can revoke access anytime from your account settings

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

Right to Access: Request a copy of data we hold about you

Right to Deletion: Request deletion of your license data

Right to Portability: Export your local data anytime (you already own it)

Right to Object: Opt-out of marketing emails (we rarely send any)

Right to Complain: Contact your local data protection authority

7. Children's Privacy

Genesis is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you are a parent and believe your child provided us with personal information, please contact us.

8. Data Retention

License Data: Retained as long as your license is active, then 7 years for accounting/legal compliance

Support Requests: Retained for 2 years

Local Data: YOU control retention. Genesis auto-prunes old data (configurable)

9. International Transfers

Genesis is local-first software. Your data does not transfer internationally unless YOU explicitly configure integrations that do so (e.g., using Google Workspace in a different region).

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
